Hi,

I have a requirement to pull data into HANA from MFG PRO system that runs on Progress database, does BODS support it. If yes, can it handle delta loads. Please advise. Thanks.

Hi,

Progress database is not supported, but if you can find a generic 3rd Party ODBC Level 2-compliant Drivers  that supports this db,  then you it shouldn't be a problem as this connectivity will be supported.

Thanks Nawfal.

If we assume that we have such a connector, then can it handle delta and what kind of data volumes can it work with. Thanks.

SAP Data Services does not provide 'native' support for Progress databases. However, with the DataDirect Progress ODBC drivers, you can connect to a Progress database in SAP Data Services by using the ODBC connection type.

One of our customers is using a Progress-based source system for their Enterprise Data Warehouse and is using SAP Data Services 4.2 Sp1 to extract data from this system using the DataDirect ODBC drivers. Please do note that these drivers must be purchased from/through DataDirect and are not freely available.  This is not a limitation of SAP Data Services or a SAP license restriction in any way, shape or form but merely a consequence of Progress no longer provided the DataDirect ODBC drivers as part of their license.
