Guys, guess what? I just checked a dashboard where dynamic alerts are been implemented.
I have been trying to figure out how to give values to GREEN, YELLOW and RED categories of alerts in Xcelsius/Dashboards. There is no way you can bind excel cell in alerts except 'As a Percent of target'.
Here is something I would like you to check http://xavierhacking.nl/xa4/alertdemo.swf This is simple when it comes to single value.
Has somebody tried to set 2-3 values to alerts?
Any inputs would really be appreciated.
Regards,
Tejas
Thanks guys for your inputs.
What happened is, I had very old dashboard to work on in 4.0 SP06 which did not have Use a Range option checked. This led me to the confusion.
It is pretty easy, all you need to do it use Use a Range option in Alert and map it to as many threshold values you have. It may then dynamically chance after you change the cell values.

Hi Tejas,
We can implement 3 alerts dynamically at a time,
Select enable alerts in alert tab.
and you should alter the alert threshold values manually based on requirement.
ex : 1. minimum to 30
2. 30 to 75
3. 75 to 100
