Changes to 2LIS_02_SCL to PRD without users locked

Hi,

Due to the impact on business client does not want to stop the batch jobs and also lock the batch users, only the dialog users will be locked. We need to import the changes on 2LIS_02_SCL to Production with this setup and proceed further. Changes have been made on append structure of MCEKKO .

Also, MC02M_1SCL of structure MC02M_0SCL is changed now with the new fields.

Would like to know the impact on the existing setup if we move the change to Production, we will stop the V3, clear the MCEX02, clear RSA7 till 0 recs. import the change hoping that BATCH jobs would not update MCEX02.

Really appreciate a quick reply!!

Thanks

Hi  Compugra,

We do like this number of times..  Only consideration do you want  hostorical data for appended   field or not. If not  follow the  below process.  If yes let me know..

1) Run V3 job multiple times so that LBWQ MCEX02 queue will zero.

2) Run  Infopackage   to BW.

Main thing LBWQ  should  not have any records.

3) Go and  sit  with basis person .. do the step1 and check in SM04 for any user on ME21*..

4) Once LBWQ is zero, ask the basis to transport and watch the queue ( LBWQ) carefully... if any record comes.. check the PO number  for it by doube clicking on it and delete the queue immediately... Hope your transport will complete by then. Delete the records which are posted  during the transport and  take the number..

5)    After this, you will have smooth   ecc transports and  Bi loadings.

6) For deleted POs, you  may have  to do a full repair request. If you have any inbound DSO, no issues. otherwise. you have to do a selection deletion in Infocube and load the same.

Rajesh

Hi,

Clearing all queues and loading  delta records into bw side is fine.

You stopping V3 job .

What about SMQ1/SM13/LBWQ?

if  above queues are filled with new entries while transporting then there might be chance to corrupt delta due to structural changes.

Thanks

Hi Rama,

They will be cleared manually just before we import the change, caveat is changes happening when the import is happening into PRD, that is when we are contemplating if this is going to be an issue as mentioned in other forum 2 structures will be created which will break the delta.

Yes, it may create problematic.

That's why always we need to lock related t codes at source side and stop entries.move your transports.

if client  not accepts then can you check client 0 busness hours and move transports in that time.

Hi,

Locking the users is mandatory ....If users keep posting the entries...despite you clearing the Delta queue (LBWQ and RSA7)...still it will start filling in.

User Lock out is must.

Its a risk for by not locking the Users.
