Configuring Change Manage in SM 4.0

Hi Experts:

I am looking for some guidance on configuring Change Management in Solution Manager.

All the SAP components in our landscape are DEV/TST. We don't have a full three tier landscape.

We essentially want to use Solution Manager to manage our future SP upgrades.

I am fairly new to Solution Manager and we are running Solution Manager 4.0 SR 2.00

Any help would be trully appreciated.

I have been able to bring the data from the systems into SMSY and forward that to SAP as well.

documents can be emailed to me at ihkhan@gmail.com

Thanks in Advance.

Imran

Arright.

It seems that solution optimizer works even with that message.

however, i have had to create a new IBase.

This can be done from transaction IB51.

Also read note 1030498 to solve the IBase is not active error.

I essentially need to figure out how to solve the following issue:

Change requests cannot be displayed or created, because the RFC connection has errors, or is not maintained.

Check whether the RFC connection to the Change Man agement system is under the key CHARM_DEST (APPLI field in the DESTINAT field), in the view BCOS_CUST. You need authorization for the cross-client view/table maintenance (S_TABU_DIS and S_TABU_CLI).

Not sure how to check this!

Check the RFC connection in the transaction SM59. If your SAP Solution Manager system is also your Change Manager system, the internal connection must be 'NONE'. You need authorization for the administration of RFC connections (S_RFC_ADM).

My Solution Manager is my Change Manager system.

You may have to dumb it down for me.

Thanks
