SAP IDES ECC6.0 Installation on laptop

If i installed SAP ECC6.0 R3 IDES in laptop , is there any setting need to run SAP for all Functional Consultant. If there is any setting please tell me Please any one help me..

Hi Vijay,

For installation of  SAP Ecc6.0 Ehp 6

Hardware Requirement :- Intel I3 processer + 1 TB HDD + 8 GB RAM( Minimum 4GB)

OS requirement:- Windows 2008 R2 SP1

Software requirement:-

1. ECC6 export file(1 to 40 files)
2. Kernal 721 Unicode for SWPM
3. SWPM 1.0( Now a days Software Provisional Manager 1.0 has came instead of installation master)
4. (Note:- if you use SWPM, then no need to require install java for your system.Because SWPM have own java inside it.)
5. Any database as per your need.
6. No need require to set any environment variable before installation because of SWPM will help you.
7. Just set SWAP size 3 time of your RAM or 20 GB minimum.

After installation if you have found any problem related to Kernal in SM28 then download the( Kernal 721 EXT UC) upgrade that one.

And do the post installation steps(Note:- change the 000 client time setting for all the client according to your country time)

Hi, I would suggest good to have a Max RAM ( 6 to 8 RAM) as better RAM you have the fast the system will be,

OS = best will be Windows 7 Professional

RAM = minimum 2-4GB but High recommended more than that, for fast 8GB is the best and ideal.

HD = around 1 TB will enough.

Hello,

I use SAP IDES on laptop.

You need fast NB with a few hundred GB free space and a lot of RAM and using SSD is not a disadvantage.

Well, I am happy with SAP IDES EhP 6 installation it is running fast on NB.

It is really comfortabel to work.

If you want to install SAP ECC6.0  R/3 IDES,If it is Laptop or Desktop  first you should have

OS - Server version like windows 2008 professional, Red hat Linux, Unix

HDD - Minimum 500GB

RAM - Minimum 4GB

And the Post- installation activities are same for laptop or desktop.

And the IDES after installation it should be in the network where all the functional consultant works.
