Data services 4.2 on windows server 2008/2012

Hi guys

could you please help me to find compatible version of DS 4.2 with IPS / BI platform

as per i can understand :-

DS 4.2 SP01 patch 3 with IPS 4.1 SP02 on windows server 2012 R2 ?

DS 4.2 SP01 patch 3 with IPS 4.1 SP02 on windows server 2008 R2 ?

DS 4.2 SP01 patch 3 with BI 4.1 SP03 on windows server 2012 R2 ?

DS 4.2 SP01 patch 3 with BI 4.1 SP03 on windows server 2008 R2 ?

Please tell which one is correct as i am struggling with the installation....

Hi Leo ,

As per Product availability matrix Windows Server 2008 R2 supported platform  but Windows Server 2012 R2  is not .

Coming to IPS 4.1 SP02 and  BI 4.1 SP03 both are compatible. You can use any one of them depending on requirement. If you are not installing BI tools  or event related things  go with IPS as it is simple version of BI.

Hello Leo and Ramana.

Just a note that Windows Server 2012 R2 support is currently planned for the upcoming Data Services 4.2 SP2 release, which is targeted for the end of the month.

Hi Corrie,

Data Service 4.2 SP2 is relased but still Windows Server 2012 R2 is not supported as per PAM.

Please check.
