Hi everybody,
is it possible to open a Analysis for Office Document with the Open Document Syntax. I want to "jump" from a Design Studio dashboard to the Analysis for Office document. Additionally, the parameters that have been set in the Design Studio dashboard should also be set with the initial start of the Analysis for Office document.
Thanks for your support.
Best regards
Stephan
I would like to know if there is any update regarding this functionality.

Passing parameters to AFO report saved on BI launchpad is not possible. AO has always been a sender and not receiver.
With release of latest version AO 2.3, there are some advanced possibilities, take a look at Tammy's post,
Trying out what is new in Analysis Office 2.3
To achieve the above, you will need to apply support packages on BW system, for details,
refer SAP note 2283045.
If you need OpenDoc / RRI support for AO in the BI Launchpad, please vote for the idea: https://ideas.sap.com/D35816
Thanks & Regards,

I have the same issue too. I using Design Studio 1.5 SP1 P1.
@Gözdem I do not think, that a new Design Studio version like 1.6 would solve the issue, because passing variables to AO is an AO feature or opendocument feature and not a Design Studio feature.
Has someone an idea / workaround to do this?
Regards
Severin

Hello everybody,
I have the same issue like Stephan and Tim. Is this possible now with Design Studio 1.5?
Open document Link works when I open the Analysis for Office workbook. But I couldn't pass the Parameter from Design Studio to Analysis for Office.
Thank you very much and best regards,
Gözdem

Hello Stephan or anybody else,
could you find an anwser on this question?
Just opening an Analysis for Office Workbook is working fine by using the open document technology!
But is it possible to jump from a "Design Studio" Application to an "Analysis for Office" Workbook with taking parameters from the Design Studio Application?
If yes, how does it work?
Thanks for your help and best regards,
TiM

Hi Stephan,
with BO 4.1 SP4 it will be possible to create a OpenDocument link to Analysis workbooks stored in the BI Launchpad. Please refer to http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2008224

Hi Michael,
the problem I am facing is not the generation of an OpenDocument link, I was already able to build one, but the passing of parameters to the Analysis workbook.
For example, I have an Analysis workbook based on a SAP query with a mandatory BEx variable. With the OpenDocument link I want to set the value of the variable dynamically.
Best regards
Stephan
