ME57- No suitable purchase requisitions found

Dear All,

I have gone through several discussions regarding this but still couldn't find a reason. I'm getting ' No suitable purchase requisitions found' message in ME57 which I could not found an exact cause for this message. PR is created manually using ME51N transaction.

-PR I'm checking is in the system,EBAN table

-Info records are maintained

-Source list is not ticked material master,no source lists are maintained

-No release strategies are used for PRs

-No source is assigned in PR , Item Detail, Source of supply

-Not closed

-materials are correct and maintained in the plant

Unfortunately standard SAP Message no. ME261 is very less informative. We've found from debugging the program that PR number is not in J_3ABSSI table which may be the reason to not to display in ME57. But still unable to find the exact reason or this.

Please give some help on this case.

Dear All

This is a program error. You need to implement the note 2027527. PRs will be visible in ME57; ME5A; MD04.

Please note I have marked the answer given me as correct for the ease of future reference for other members in forum. This was came after the upgrade. SAP OSS released the mentioned note after we've logged the issue.

Can you post a screen shot of the selection screen, or at least tell what you have entered there and what fields have already been filled automatically.

ME57 will as well take an already source assigned requisition, it just depends on the entries in the selection screen

Yes. If the option is ticked "Assigned Purchase Requisition"

But normally in standard the option is not selected.

right, but I just wanted to correct your statement  that ME57 will not select ...it sounded as you would not have a technical option at all.

Of course it is important to know the meaning of the transactions to start the right transaction for the action you want perform.

e.g. ME57 for requisitions that have not yet a source assignment

and ME58 for requisitions that have a source assignment.

Other than this I have give PR number and plant only. For the PR  I have not assigned a source of supply.

Remove the plant from selection.

Just give the PR number and press execute.

I think you have some development in your ME57 system.

I can see you have an extra field in ME57, that is "Also List Held PReqs"

Which I don't find in my system.

I don't think so. We are using AFS 6.5,ECC 6.0

at least I would rerun the selection with changed parameters,

Just the PR number, and activate all check boxes except the "Released requisitions only"

And I would check whether the authorization checks do not prevent the user from getting the requisition (/nsu53)

Go to ME52N and enter the PR number and check the source of supply option.

After clicking the source of supply, is it assigning any source ?

ME57 will not take the PR which has already the source of supply.

   Please check whether the points mentioned in the note:  786303 - Analysis report RM06ME59 PReq check  are fulfilled.
