SAP TDMS - Infotype changed and giving an error on import

Former Member

Hi all,

I have the following situation.

In a working SAP TDMS 4 HCM Scramble setup one of my colleagues had to add extra fields to an infotype.

The issue i'm having now is that for this infotype the import is failing because of "Wrong structure in IMPORT statement for structure".

I checked it and the structure is the same and active on all systems.

Is there a way to 'regenerate' the export structure?

Where and how do I do/select/find this?

Kind regards,

Johnny Ramaekers

Answer from SAP:

1. Wait till all the other objects have been transferred.

2. For the migration objects which have failed during the data

transfer, Choose the Data Transfer Activity->Troubleshooter. Choose

the troubleshooter "Troubleshooter for Migration Objects"->Redefine

Migration Objects.

3. Specify the migration objects which have failed and execute the

troubleshooter. This will ensure that the DDIC change information is

known to TDMS. You can monitor the troubleshooter by choosing the

Button "Extended Process Monitor.".

4. Once the troubleshooter is completed, go to the control system

transaction SM37. Execute the function module

CNV_TDMS_HCM_IMP_ACPLAN_DATA with the package as input.

5. Once the function module is executed, run the activity "Data

Transfer Start" again. You should not face this issue.

Hello Johnny,

You could create a new package. This will ensure that TDMS picks up the new fields as desired.

Otherwise, you could raise a message with SAP to help you regenerate the structures for your package.

Hi Rishav,

Indeed, tried it with a new package and this works.

Since our systems are under heavy development for HR, it's not wise nor possible to recreate every x days a new package with all complications.

I will raise a message towards SAP to see what can be done.

thank you!
