Hi,

in Talent Management there are only "minor" changes from ehp5 to ehp6. This is a creat book to get a overview to all talent related functionalities.

Maybe Luke can give you more details..

Hi,

there are no major changes in talent management modules like succession and compensation management and e-rec. form EHP5 to EHP6 / 7.

In succession Management you will find some small extensions in the search functionality for the Talent Management Specialist. But again this is a small adaption and not a major change in functionality. This is the same for other TM modules.

SAP provides only minor changes to TM modules as Successfactors is the go forward solution for Talent Management.

So the book provides still a good overview of TM modules.

One Thing: SAP changed the stylesheets for webdynpro apps. So functionality is not changed but the look and feel is a different. This is for all webdynpro apps like ESS/MSS the same.

Hi Martin & Luke,

I have got the Book but here when i refer to succession its more of:

STVN Succession planning

Comapring STVN Succession Planning & SAP Functionality.

STVN Technical Reference

Mostly it is taking about STVN

But as far as i came to know through SDN now with EHP6/7 STVN-Nakisa is not compulsoryly required.

Please guide me on the same & please guide me on going ahead with this.

Hi,

SAP Talent Management does not provide a web baed UI to maintain succession management. SAP Provides UI's for talent pools , talent profile, talent review meeting and more but not for sucession management. There are two possibilities to manitain succession management:

1) use backend transacktion HRTMC_PPOM to do succession management. This is the full functionality but not available in Enterprise Portal, but without any further license.

2) use Nakisa Talent Visualisation solution to do succession plannning. This is a very comfortable webbased solution but it is of further license costs.

Hi Martin & Luke  thank you uys for the info.

Luke if i am not wrong then there are few new applications.

So in that case if i go n buy the Book will it provide the deatils on which i can built te ehp.6 applications.

I mean i tried to get the latest version which is of EHP.5 n published in 2012 n as per ur link the additional applications have come in Ehp.6-May 2012.

So is it a wise step forward.

As a contributor to the SAP Press book on Talent Management I am slightly biased, but it is a very good book.

This blog tells you what was introduced in EhP6:
