Hi,

When I run the Upgrade Tool: WCF_CC, on the initial screen, I am not able to understand the importance of the following two Selection Parameters:

1.  Check Obsolete Views (The Checkbox)

2.  Number of Parallel Runtime Processes (Dropdown list).

Could you please let me know the significance of the above.

Thanks for the needful information.

Thanks,

Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,

1.  Check Obsolete Views (The Checkbox) - It is a Central Check flag for obsolete view.  It is used to check if the existing obsolete iViews defined in a particular Enhancement Set. If you select this, enter a required Enhancement Set, it will give you the obsolete views for your reference.

2. Number of Parallel Runtime Processes - (From F1 - Performance Assistant window)

Defines the maximum number of parallel runtime work processes during a check.

Use
You can accelerate the check processing by defining the number of runtime work processes that can be used for the check run:

If you select 1, the check is executed in one work process.
If you select any value higher than 1, the corresponding number of work processes run in parallel, when the check is executed.

Hope this will be useful

Thanks and Regards
