Our company converted from legacy systems to SAP at the beginning of this year and started using SPM for spend reporting. We do a monthly load of data and it is currently taking 3 days to complete all the data loads. Looking at the longer running master data jobs we see that loading the WBS elements is taking 12 hours, loading about 3.3 million records. It is set as a Full Load. We asked the consultant that helped us setup SPM if WBS could be a Delta Load and the response was the “standard” way was to do a full load, but they did not have a reason why.
The questions to the group; what is the reasoning for the full load? Has anyone done a delta load for the WBS
load? Were there any side effects?
Thanks for any responses.
Hi Gary,
Yes, it can be set to Delta Loads, we recently tried this way, and this worked, and has shortened the time of Master Data Loads.
Please find SAP Note 1914255 to enable Delta
