MSSQL Server backup

Hi All,

I have a server with MSSql server 2008R2, i took a backup yesterday with recovery mode full and i have old backups they also with full recovery mode.

Now today due to some server issues i restored the Database with old backup not yesterday one with option RESTORE WITH NORECOVERY , now databse is in standby/Readonly mode. I dont have any Transaction log backups but have log in SIDlog folder .

How can i bring my Database to open/Readwrite state from standby/Readonly.

Please suggest me with your valuable opinions....

Thanks in advance

Hi Praveen,

Please restore it again using latest full backup using option restore with recovery.

For the option you selected you need to provide log files to recover without which you cannot make the database up and running.

Refer to restore and recovery steps from the link below

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/ms179451.aspx

Hope this helps.

Hi Praveen,

Please to refer to below SAP notes for options in system copy process.

You can use MSSQL tool to perform the system copy

Also refer to SAP note for Post copy steps.
