TREX error - cannot create index error code 7262

Hi experts,

I am trying to create a index in sap portal 7.3 , our trex is 7.1.

i am gettting an error, "Index could not be created, creating index failed: cannot send xml request to http://xyz:30105/TREX, reason: A remote host  did not respond within the timeout period. (Error code 7262)"

Please let me know how to resolve this error.

Could you refer to the following Note and check if it resolves your issue

1036075 - TREX 7.10: Java parameter communication.readtimeout

Applying the Solution part of the Note should resolves your issue.

It got resolved, there was a firewall port blocking the http://....:30105 port .
