Dear Colleagues,

One of our Customers would like to have all main business operations (financials, asset management, non-retail logistics, etc.) in one ERP system and retail-specific functions in separate IS-Retail system, real-time integrated with main ERP. By real-time integration they mean that they want to have all financial posting (even relevant to Retail) in main ERP system for to close period and make accounting reporting there.

May we kindly ask to share with us your experience regarding landscapes with the combination of two systems (ERP & Retail)?

What are the main issues, risks may be faced in this approach?

Hi,

Integrated work between Main ERP functionalities and IS-Retail functionalities is possible and working perfectly.

This is completely transparent on the Finance.

The main issue you will face is related to Article and Plant object.

You need to know two important things:

1. The standard articles works only on standard Plants

2. The retail articles works only with Retail Sites (Plant)
