Dear Naveen,

The required reference must belong to a specification type that was specified as a permitted source specification type for the specification type of the referencing specification under Specify Specification Types in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools.

· A specification cannot be a target specification in a reference and a target specification in an inheritance relationship at the same time, in other words, a specification cannot receive data via reference and via inheritance at the same time.

by standard this is not possible. You can use e.gf. "Reference" or "Inheritance" between REAL_SUB and REAL_GRP; but not between REAL_SUB and REAL_SUB.

The term "reference" might be misinterpreted. You can e.g. specify that e.g. REAL_SUB A contains REAL_SUB B as part of a composition: this is a "reference" as well; but it is not the same like in Tab Strip "Reference" or "Inheritance" on specification header
