Issue with SAP demo data for SCPM content in BI system

Dear Expert,

"1558947 - SCPM 2.0: Loading Demo Data into SCPM"

Based on above SAP Note  1558947, we are performing the Demo data loads for SCPM data targets in SAP BI system.

However, the data is not available for any Data targets due to the reason, upload is sucessful but "Validation" is fialed.

Does any one has experienced similar situations. Please help to resolve this issue.

Hi Khader,

Are u loading data using front end ,If so you can manually pass it by right click-->Manual pass or else check why it is throwing error is it because of any object length or other then do the changes accordingly and validate it.

could you please explain in more detial. It really helps to understand the situation.

2. we are facing challenges on How to validate the load process. And most importantly where the error had occured is un known at this moment.

As per the Note referred above , the data load process is different process from normal data load which we do using ETL.

Please help us on this.

Hi Phani,

We are now loading data using front end, but received error  message as following

Error Message:

"Data target An exception with the type CX_SY_REPLACE_INFINITE_ () inactive; processing stopped. Activate data target"

Please find the following steps performed

1. Under global settings, we defined CLNTSID (BW system) and DMSYSTEM and activated both

2. After loading the file to front end, using the program RSXSA_FILE_UPLOAD_DOWNLOAD,
     we hit "start now" button with source system as CLNTSID

3. Loading is Successful but validation is failed with below error

     "Data target An exception with the type CX_SY_REPLACE_INFINITE_ () inactive;

     processing stopped. Activate data target

Could you please help to resolve this issue.

Please let me know if you required any additonal information on this.

Hi Phani,

we are trying to follow above link and performing accordingly.

Please find the following steps we performed

1. we made sure that the DSO (Reporting UOM- 0SPM_DS32) and Process chain (DM: Reporting UOM (0SPM_REP_UOM) are Installed and active (as per the SAP Note 1540655) in BW system

2. Triggered the upload from front end

3. when we check the job log in BW system, the system triggers a separete process chain 0ASA_P044, insted of UOM process chain 0SPM_REP_UOM hence the load is not sucessful to the data target

4. Below is the job log for the above run

Hi Khader,

Normally these upload types are maintained in OPMDM_TYPES Table in BW. Pls check whether there is any entry for Reporting UOM and Process chain associated with it. If it is not then create Upload types in it, and also ensure  to  have  correct upload type-->Data type as REPORTING_UOM in front end .

Hi Phani

The datatype we maintained in the front end tool is REPORTING_UOM and the DSO and processchain maintained in OPMDM_TYPES are also matching its relevant DSO and process chain such as 0SPM_DM32 and 0SPM_REP_UOM.

We still get the same error as "Data target An exception with the type CX_SY_REPLACE_INFINITE_ () inactive; processing stopped. Activate data target".

We went ahead and did a manual pass and released it for reporting. The respective dataload jobs and process chain was run succesfully but the datalaod happend with zero records. Any clues further please?

Hi ,

Pls check whether

1) Any data type and length mismatch  wrt material, numerator and denominator.

2)check  installed Bi content wrt Reporting_Uom  is properly settled with objects or not.

3)Ask  Basis team  to check log of front end as well as BI process chain process.

4)If it is not resolved then raise oss message to SAP.
