Is the Job definition part of a job chain?
If yes, the keep clause of the job chain overrides the job definition's keep clause.
For example, even if the job definition has a retention period of 6 months, and the job chain it is part of has a retention of only 1 week, then you will not see the job definition runs for 6 months.
In order to overcome this, check the keep force option, and then reschedule the job chain.

What do you see when you right click the job definition and select "monitor related jobs"?
What do you see when you right click the job chain and select "monitor related jobs"? Do you see the job definition when you expand the job chain?
Can you check the Keep force option and try?
