Hi DS-community,
I would like to start a Jobserver on a UNIX-machine. After some troubles during the installation of DS4.2 on UNIX, the faulty implementation of DS on UNIX systems still continues...
When it comes to start a Jobserver, like described here for DS 4.1: "http://scn.sap.com/community/data-services/blog/2014/01/25/how-to-startstop-data-services-server-on-... ", at step 2 "execute command ./svrcfg" the shell throws the message: error while loading shared libraries: libthread3012d.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
The thing is, this file exists in the .../dataservices/bin/ folder. I suppose, that the $LINK_DIR variable is false used inside the svrcfg file. But unfortunately the file is encrypted, so I cannot check that.
Does anybody have tried to start a jobserver with DS 4.2 on UNIX OS and has a workaround for that?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Jan,
Execute the command below before using ./svrcfg.
. ./al_env.sh
Note that there is a full stop and a space before the ./al_env.sh.
Regards,
Gordon

To add to this topic, how do I specify that my job server should start on machine boot?
