SUM Error - Upgrade PreProcessing phase - SGEN on Shadow instance

hello All,

We are currently in the process of upgrading our SRM system from SRM 5.5 to SRM 7.02.

SUM has stopped due to errors at phase:

      MAIN_SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHD2_RUN/RUN_RSGEN
            Batchjob RSGEN_GENER8_SHADOW on shadow system failed.

I have attached SAPup_troubleticket_logs for you analysis.

A2EETSGEN 228 Generation stopped due to "508" generation errors.

Can you please advise on how I deal with this issue in order to continue.

Hi,

Check if your tablespace or filesystem is full as these can terminte the generations.

Thanks for your help.

That note looks to be a good fit but unfortunately when I try to implement it I get an error to say not possible as the system is been upgraded.

I tried stopping SUM but it still recognizes an upgrade is running.

any ideas?

What database are you using ?

Make sure there is enough free space in the tablespace else SGEN will fail.

If this is an Oracle database then check the alert log if there are space issues.

Once you have passed the lock development phase you will not be able to implement notes unless you stop the upgrade and unlock the system and the repository.

Not a space issue in this case. I've opened a message with SAP as I've exhausted all avenues at this stage.
