i would like to know who/how changed permissions.
my unix team saying it is now possible as its mounted on many server.
I need you assistance on this . Please suggest.
OS:- AIX
Thanks
Sadiq
Hi Sadiq,
As far as i know it's bit difficult to find out the terminal or ID who is creating issues for you by changing permissions on the NFS directories, but here i would like to suggest you to enable audit feature of linux system by installing audit package.
]#yum install audit (Best to discuss with OS team on the same)
Hope this will be helpful for you.

Gaurav

Hi Sadiq,
Please check the permission of /usr/sap/trans on the server from which it has been exported ( means source server). It will get reflected to all the servers where it has been mounted.
You may also try with login root on each of the servers and execute chmod -R 777 /usr/sap/trans to change the permission.
In case you want to change the ownership , it would be good idea to maintain the UId and Grpid for <sidadm> user on all the servers same. This will allow right permissions to sidadm user across all the servers.
Hope this helps.
