Hi,
I have the problem on production server of BPC 7.5 MS about the memory of SQL and OLAP (the phisical memory is 16383 MB).
The SQL version is 2008 R2.
The issue is that the memory of SQL and OLAP is not released, so remains fully allocated with the
consequences of slowness on the part of users.
To fix the problem I stop and restart SQL and OLAP services, but the problem is proposed again.
Do you have any idea what can I check?
Thanks for your support
Ciao
Chiara

Hi Chiara,
The SQL server doesn't free memory until I log off the server.
I don't know if it's normal?
SQL server manages memory for all of its services, by allocating the space available to it and managing it according to the needs of the moment.
You've seen errors of memory full?
If yes share messages error log otherwise if it's just an observation but users continue to work (data entries, reports and packages) don't worry.

Roberto
Hi Chiara,
it's a new installation?
If not, it started recently the issue?
Have you tried restarting the server? Have you seen error in the log?
Have you tried the Windows Performance Monitor
What's New in Performance and Reliability Monitoring?

Roberto
