Everything available in SAP-PM has applicability in the maintenance function of Power Plants too. It does ultimately depend upon the SOPs and SMPs adopted by the specific plant. According to which the processes are customized. If you want me to prioritize the processes, I'd list in the following order:
- Scheduled maintenance (Time based, Performance based, Strategy etc)
- Condition based maintenance based on Vibration readings etc.,
- Breakdown analysis (RCA, CAPA, Why-Why) through exhaustive Catalog-Coding.
- Machine capital repairs mapped as projects through WBS.
and
- Good PMIS reports available in PM (BDn Analyses, Machine-wise Costs Analyses etc)
Other Enhancements, Measurements, WCM etc will fall into the work-flow of the same.
