SRM-MDM banner

When you access the SRM-MDM catalog from SRM (or even from an ECC transaction), there is a banner displayed at the top of the page :

Does anyone know where the text 'SRM-MDM Product Catalog" is derived from? Is it a literal, is it based on the archive file used?

Regards

Gerald

Hi Gerald,

It is possible to change this banner. Please follow these steps:

1 * The catalog banner can be a .gif file or a .jpg one.
   * The files should be named as anything_Language
   * ie: Catbanner_EN.gif Catbanner_FR.jpg Catbanner_de.gif

2  The easiest way to configure the folder is like this:
  * Create a folder on a Windows server (better would the same server as
    the MDM Server is hosted)
  * Share that folder for all users with read rights and practical name
    like "CatBanners"
  * Go to the config UI and place this information.
  * lets say that your server is SAPserver01 your shared folder is named
CatBanners. So if you go to a windows machine go to execute and type
\\SAPserver01\CatBanners a Explorer window showing the folder with
the images will open. If this happens you it should run fine.

This won't work on non windows server and won't work if the user is
accessing the catalog through the Internet. He needs to be able to see
that shared folder.

I hope this helps,

Kind Regards,

Lisa

Thanks Lisa.

That approach is only available in later versions of MDM. When I start our UI Config tool there is no option "Catalog Banner Image Directory Path". Plus in our case we have users accessing the catalogue via the internet.
