List of fields (name and description) referenced in a DataSorce

Hi Guys.

I need to export into excel the list of fields (name and description) referenced in a DataSorce.

Like the picture below.

Could someone help me?

use the table DD03L in the table name give your extract structure  MC02M_0ITM then you can export to Excel

Raf suggested you to check ECC system, T code - SE11, enter your data source extract structure and see there

My suggestion is at BW side,

If you want the fields which are part of data source at bw side then you go to your data source in bw side. Double click on data source and click on Fields tab.There you can see what you need and try to save them into excel.

Another way in bw server:

You can go to your data source and first layer target transformations.

double click on your transforamtions, menu Extras---> Tabulur overview. form there also you can downloaded all data source fields into excel. You need to play with menu options.

Hi Raf.

Could you explain a little bit more?

I need to get the list of fields used by a given DataSource (eg. 2LIS_02_ITM).

I need to copy into excel the entire list of fields referenced by the DataStore with its name (eg. BEDAT) and description (eg. Purchasing Document Data).

if you like to stay within BW, check the contents of table RSDSSEGFD... you can download those to Excel
