Using classification system on PS

Hi,

As I understood the summarization on PS via  classification system is obsolet because now is used  master data summarization functionality.

If I just want to have additional information to document, classify and select the WBS elements

1. How can I add free characteristics to a project or specific WBS element?

2. It is possible to do it without any impact on summarization functionality?

Hi Jimmy,

if that classification characteristics as you said free is from standard table then you can use by sap query though SQVI transaction.

and if you this kind of characteristics is coming from development as enhancement  then system performance issue can be other wise its ok means no impact.
