EPM Add-in Binary

Hello Experts,

I am trying to download the binary/Installer for EPM Add-in from SAP Service Marketplace and found two type of binary to be downloaded:

1. EPM EXCEL CLIENT 10.0

2. EPM ADD-IN BIG VOL.10.0

Please let me know where these both needs to be Installed, I mean should I need to Install "EPM ADD-IN BIG VOL.10.0" on application server and "EPM EXCEL CLIENT 10.0" on client machines?

Please Advice.

Hi Rohit,

EPM Add-in BIG VOL.10.0 is only for office 2010 64bit version, see please note 4 of Third Party Software Support Matrix For BPC for Microsoft 7.X, 10.X

and the following notes 1764117 - Does the 64 bit EPM Add-In require .Net 3.5 and .Net 4?

1494285 - BPC MS: Does SAP support Microsoft Office 2010?

If you're using office 2013 you don't need it.

So it means I need to install "EPM EXCEL CLIENT 10.0", do I need to install this on application server only or on clients also?

also on clients, see please the upgrade or installation guide for the possible types of update, see also this note EPM Add-in How to: Deploy using Group Policy Object

Hi Roberto,

Are you sure Office 2013 64 bit works with installing "EPM EXCEL CLIENT 10.0" or we need to have "EPM EXCEL CLIENT 10.0" for 32 bit Office and "EPM ADD-IN BIG VOL.10.0" for 64 bit Office.

Please confirm.

Hi Rohit,

sorry my faults, epm add-in BIG version is for office 64 bit, so you need it also for 2013 64bit version, please note that it requires .NET 4

It means we need .NET 4.0 on all client machines using BPC 10.0
