Dear Experts,

I'm facing problem with IDT 4.0 when design time.

It's so slow when I tried to click on dimension to change description in Business Layer.

I was connecting to BI 4.0.

How should I do to increase IDT performance at design time?

Please guide me, the step to solve this problem.

Best regards,

Chenna

Hi Chenna,

Can you tell me your system configuration?

Because, IDT works slow on low configured system.

By increasing RAM , IDT may work faster.

@Chenna: Try the same work flow with any other data source and check if this is an issue with IDT or your data source.

For eg: excel as a data source

Do you see any errors in the windows logs?(click on start ->run->type eventvwr)

Do you see CPU/memory spike when this issue occurs?

Dear Pavan K,

I'm using SAP ERP 6(JCO) with ABAP Classic InfoSet.

I have tried with another machine and it still slow.

Hi

What is the bake-end DB of the universe?

Same issue for other bake-end DB also (like BW, Oracle,SQL)? Normally IDT doesn’t

have performance issue compare to UDT.

Check with other users, how using other location (other country users with  different country)

If you face with other bake-end DB also..it’s my be your local network problem.
