Campign and Campign Element

What is basic difference between Campign and Campign element.

Hi Anju,

from a function point of view there is no difference. Both object campaign and campaign elements can be executed. A campaign element represents a marketing measure or activity which appears as a subordinate node of the campaign. Campaign elements are used to hierarchically plan the campaign, but from a function point of view there is no difference.

The main difference comes when using campaign automation. Each step created in campaign automation generates a campaign element added to the campaign. The campaign elements are auto generated steps in the automation process.

We can include campign below campign then how it is different adding incluing campign and campign element...is there any relation ship between execution sequence...

on more thing that segment is used to identify target group (focused BP for campign)..then what is use of product segment ? where it is used.

Can we add products in campign using segment?

Hello,

Campaign Element can be considered as a sub element or child element of campaign. In CRM-Marketing following is the hierarchy. Under one campaign there can be multiple campaign element.

Marketing Plan

     | --------------> Marketing Plan Element

                                                           |----------------> Campaign

                                                                                         |----------------------> Campaign Element
           

Target Group or list of audience are  attached to the campaign element level. In process campaign elements are being executed to capture audience response.
