Attachment not getting displayed in MSS

Former Member

Dear all,

During the creation of leave request, the employee is able to perform attachments. And through the workitem, manager will be able to see the attachment & leave request. But when manager is trying to open the attachment, no action is taking place.

Neither the attachment is opening nor any error is appearing.

Kindly suggest me some possible solutions.

Regards,

Namsheed.

I read the whole document. Its a wonderful document. Thanks for providing the link for me.

By the way, in my system Document Type HRLRQATTCH is not there. I will talk with my basis team to configure that & Content Repository A2.. Hope I got the perfect solution.

Once again thanks a lot Jwala.

Hi Jwala,

Request you to please clarify me why we need to use A2 only as a CS name, why can not we use ZE or any other CS name.

In our system, A2 is not there in Content Repository.

For the photo upload we used the Content  Repository ZE and it is working fine. I used the same ZE here also instead of A2, but its not working.

More over Document type HRLRQATTCH itself was not there in that table. So I created a new entry also.

hi ,

As per SAP standard A2 is a ID for connection to a content repository through which documents can be stored in a content server. request u to  create with A2 and check and add entries in that table and let us know the result whether it is working or not

Content Repository Identification ID for connection to a content repository through which documents can be stored in a content server. ie we maintain under Content Management Service, Define Content Repositories If you have maintained ZE instead of A2 that's fine, you need to define it here

Dear Siddharth,

We have maintained ZE Content Repository in  sm30 : TOAOM_C

object type :                                PREL

DOCUMENT TYPE :                HRLRQATTCH

CONTENT REPOSITORT ID -   ZE.

For Photo Upload I have maintained in this same table.

object type :                                PREL

DOCUMENT TYPE :                HRICOLFOTO

CONTENT REPOSITORT ID -   ZE.

Now the Photo upload is working perfectly fine.

Attachment is also appearing in MSS, but when I click on the attachment, no action is taking place...

Its not opening..!!

What I can do to make this working..?

Is there any way to check it in R/3.?

Dear Jwala,

Its not possible to maintain the content repository name as "ZE". Only 2 characters are allowed.

What to do now.??

A2 is not there in my system, my basis team told they have content repository ZE instead of A2. I am confused.

A2 is standard repository name, you can use other one too Please check with your basis team what is maintained and compare with the standard and ensure all customization as explained is done correctly. You can call your own custom repository as far as I know, otherwise stick with A2.

Dear Team,

I am trying to open the attachment from Manager ID. That time I am getting the error

But when I check in su53, there is no authorization missing.

I have already given SAP_ALL to this employee.

1 more thing. I have given the Content Repository as A2 also.

How can we solve this.??

Can you check with your basis Team to use A2 as standard repository? as It ll avoid other configs and its BASIS configuration, We just reuse it as in the blog shown

Dear Siddharth,

Thanks a lot.

The issue is solved.

Our basis team configured A2 instead of ZE aswell as in In TOAVE, the document class is changed as PDF instead of *.

Now the attachments are getting displayed perfectly.

Thanks & Regards,

Namsheed

Hi Gurus

We tried all suggested scenarios. Adding A2 repository, changing document class to PDF. But still we are getting same error.

Error occurs while opening the document

Message No. HRESS_PTARQ208

Diagnosis

You are not authorized to access the archive link repository, or there is an error in the http communication.

Procedure

Contact your system administrator.

Can anyone help.

Thanks

Khalid

Dear All

Using A2 repository is not mandatory. You can have your own content repository.

Below SAP Note will be helpful for this issue and this forum for future references.
