Configuration RCM and Content Server

Hi,
We want to use RMS (Record Management System) to manage documents (.doc, .xls, pdf...) and save these documents on content server.

How can I configurate  RCM and Content Server?

Please give me link to manual.

Hello,

I will suggest you to better to go with VAULT object setting in DMS. Because if you use content server then there will be few constraints. like you can access doc only via sap and its related objects. but via VAULT setting you have sepearte system where you store it and physically access it at any time without going via SAP and its related object.

only u need to provide the ADMIN rights for system maintenance.

I think there is a reason SAP recommends KPro. If you use vault, there are quite a few scenarios that will not work (CAD desktop, web UI)

Recommend you stay with KPro.

Hello,

I dnt think so , because ultimate motive is to store documents in server now CAD is concern or WEB UI when u attach any document system will generate internal number for docs and move it KPRO or Vault based on configuration.

Already i was  implemented where WEB UI attachement stored in Physical system repository which is remotely located.
