Hi Bhaskar,

Unknown proxy host name sounds like a network error. Are you able to access to the proxy host from this machine?

Hi Alper,

Thanks for the Quick response, we have tried to ping but unable to ping with the Host name.

Please let us know if we miss any thing.

Hi Bhaskar,

It's a network issue. Looks like the server can't resolve the proxy hostname.

Please make sure the proxy details are correct and the corresponding entry for the proxy server exists in the hosts file.

If you are not able to find the proxy host entry, you need to add it in format of:

IPaddress hostname

For example:

192.168.1.1 cimg.wdf.sap.corp

hosts file located under %SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Hi Alper,

As per your suggestion we have added the host entry in the Host file, still we are unable to reach the proxy.

Can you please help us to resolve the issue.

Thanks,

Hi Bhaskar,

Hostname cipi8.wdf.sap.corp sounds like a name that belongs to the internal SAP network. This is for sure not the correct proxy for you (unless you work for SAP maybe). Go to SICF -> Client -> Proxy Settings and remove this proxy from there.

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for the response, I have resolved the issue by untick the Proxy setting is active and No Proxy setting for Local server.

Thanks,

Hi Shyam,

Goto sicf --> in the menu bar client --> proxy settings

then will get another popup like below

Then untick the Proxy setting is active and No Proxy setting for Local server.
