Hi,

in BEx level not possible to create the hier.

you can create the at BW designing level or import form the ECC system if functional team is maintained.

while creating the hier first know which object creating the hier.

go to the info object -> select hier tab -> select the with hier and select the time dependent and time-independent based on the requirements.

find the "how to create the hier in SAP BW"

Thanks,

Phani.

Hi,

directly you can't create hierarchy at bex level.

First you have to maintain hierarchy data source at source or bw side, based on your needs.

Later you can load data to hierarchy, after that at bex level you can activate hierarchy options to related info object properties.

To maintain hierarchy we need to enable hierarchy options at related info object(RSD1, hierarchy tab, select with hierarchies) maintenance level.

For example: info object - 0GL_ACCOUNT and you need hierarchy structure on gl account.

For that we need to have hierarchy data source and will load data from ecc.

Later we can develop reports on gl account in hierarchy fashion.

On what object infoo bject you want create hierarchy report and have loaded hierarchy data?

Thanks

Hi,

If the hierarchy you are going to use is maintainable then you should go with Raman has mentioned.

One addition to what Raman has mentioned would be, if you want to show your characteristics as hierarchical view and have a 7x system, then you can right click on rows area and in the properties you can view the characteristics as hierarchically.

Another approach for different selections you may create a structure in the query designer and add selections and show them hierarchically.
