Hi Friends,

In my organization , we are using SAP.

DEV-QAS-PRD(Cluster)

OS-windows 2008r2

Database-mssql2005

SAP -ECC6EHP3

SAP KERNEL 700_REL

Support pack:.7.00/0045

Please some one suggest me

1)What is the hardware requirement for upgrading to EHP6/7?

2)What is the procedure step by step?

3)what are the prerequisites we need to follow?

4)Prerequisites for before/after upgrade?

5)What is the main advantage of EHP6/7?

6)How to do this for Production(cluster environment)?

7)How to upgrade to EHP6 step by step?

Please some one suggest me with full details, if any upgrade document is there...please provide me.

Hi Rao,

1)What is the hardware requirement for upgrading to EHP6/7?

Hardware requirements depends on OS, DB, software and usage.

You should check this with quicksizer.

2)What is the procedure step by step?

1st check PAM for compatibility.

2nd - update your kernel to 720/721.

3rd. Go for EHP update.

Note 1496212 - EHP6 for SAP ERP 6.0 SP stacks

3)what are the prerequisites we need to follow?

Do all this 1st on a sandbox system.

you will get your answers.

4)Prerequisites for before/after upgrade?

Your system should be in consistent state.

5)What is the main advantage of EHP6/7?

New version bring new features and enhancements

6)How to do this for Production(cluster environment)?

2. For other queries, you should first check the upgrade guides.

       -> SAP Business Suit Application
          > SAP ERP
              > SAP ERP 6.0
                  > SAP enhancement package for SAP ERP 6.0
                     > SAP enhancement package 6/7 for SAP ERP 6.0     (as per ur target EHP6 or EHP7)
