IT 0007 and IT 0008 Link

Hello experts,

I have been banging my head over this all morning with no luck. I have looked through a few of the SCN questions already on this topic and am still stuck.

My goal is to have the hourly rate or pay period salary in IT 0008 based on whatever the Annual Working Hours are in IT 0007- be it 2088 or 1720 in my case. Is this a work schedule configuration or a feature setting? I have seen both in a few threads. I also understand that the primary link between the two is as follows, I'm still having trouble configuring this to my requirements:

> IT0007...............................................IT0008

>Employment percent           =               Capacity Util. Level

>Monthly working hrs             =               Work hours/period

Thanks for the help!

Hi ,

Capacity Util. Level is fetching from Employment percent in IT0007.

Check the table V_T510W, where Period parameter is linked with Payscale area and type.

Where as period parameter is linked with Time unit in T549R Monthly,weekly..etc ie frequency of payroll and Working hours is nothing but , number of hours within a payperiod.

So if u have timeunit bi-weekly , In IT0008 u have period as Bi-weekly,

From IT0007 u have daily, weekly, monthly etc working hours...so system fetches data from IT0007 and calculates working hours accordingly.

Hopefully this helps

Thanks & Regards

Thanks for the response, please bear with me as I am brand new to SAP. I read through it and I'm not sure I understand still. I have attached a few screenshots.

In the original the work schedule rule, there is 2088 annual working hours based on the work schedule rule. In IT 0008 with this amount of annual working hours, the hourly rate=14.42 with an annual salary of 30,000.

After I change IT 0007 to reflect less hours (1774), IT 0008 remains unchanged. I want IT 0008 to reflect an hourly rate for the lesser hours (1774) when I change IT 0007.

Thanks again for the help.

After saving the employee's IT0007 with 85% Working Time, the creation of IT0008 should also be at 85% Capacity Utilisation Level (and with 68.00 Weekly Hours per Period), but the hourly rate should stay the same.

Hi Nick,

How is your configuration in V_T510? Your hourly amount is comming from V_T510. You can change it manually and calculate anuual salary but I am not sure for vis versa.

Hi ,

From the above screen shots, you have created IT0007 with a start date and later changed the same record with new WSR.

So create a new IT0008 with the same date once u have changed IT0007 with new WSR.

You will get the expected result.

Thanks & Regards

Omid,

Our payscale groups is setup correctly  in T510. So there is no way that you know of to have the hourly rate/pay period salary change based on the annual salary and work hours from IT 0007?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

System identifies employees as salaried/hourly based on ESG grping in table V_503_B.

If you maintain proper groupings for EG/ESG combination and then create a new IT0008 when u change WSR in IT0007 u will have correct employment percentage in IT0008 as that of IT0007.

Once u have proper values for wagetypes in IT0008, Annual salary is calculated based on PFREQ feature.

Hopefully this helps

Thanks & Regards

If you have an employees earning 30 000$ per year, paid by-weekly (26 pays) and working 40 hours per week, then his hourly rate will be 14.42$/hr.

But if you have an employee earning 30 000$ per year, paid by-weekly and working only 34 hours per week, then he needs a special Work Schedule Rule where Employment at 100 % (IT0007) will give 34 hours per week in order to get an hourly rate of 16.97$/hr.

With the current WSR at 85%, his IT0008 should also reflect the 85% and have the same hourly rate (14.42$/h) as a Full-time Employee but with an annual salary of 25 494.56$  (14.42 x 34 x 2 x 26).
