Hi all,
this query might be a network related, but I am struck in SAP implementation in one of our customer place. Scenario as follows
1) Company head office is in Location A
2) Production area in Location B
3) Approximately 25 km distance between A & B
4) Purchase,Sales and Accounting activity takes place in A
NOTE: SAP Server machine is in Location B
So how I can achieve connectivity between these two locations.
II] Can I get any documents or Video for connectivity with Android and iPhone, because Management people use gadgets for approval purpose.
Thanks in advance
Regards
M G
Hi,
We have the same scenario but ours is much farther in which production is in different city.
In our case we have setup an VPN or virtual connection.
From the production site we setup an Terminal Server (or you may Citrix) in which all
remote users will connect using RDC (Remote Desktop Connection).
RDC is the safest idea since if internet is disconnected from remote site, server is still running at the production and can prevent database corruption.
Your requirements will be :
1) Internet connection for site A and B
2) VPN connection (in our case we have an unified hardware which has a VPN, firewall, router and etc.)
Supplier of the hardware could assist you in this.
3) Terminal server at the production.
Hoping this could help you.
Regards,
Clint

Hi M G,
I can give you two options:
1. You can use Citrix (but I think it's expensive) .
2. You need to setup a Terminal Server (so your client will use Remote Desktop Connection). In our infrastructure, we subscribed from our Internet provider IP-VPN it has an added cost but not as expensive as Citrix. (You can ask your provider for this feature).

Hi MG,
I think Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) is better.
Location A User can connect to Server with Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) and perform their daily activities and Location B user can Connect to Server with the help of LAN Connection to perform their activities.
