Hi Experts,
After I run SCC7 -Post processing after the client import.SCC3 logs saying processing for long time almost 5 hours where no status change on the statitics for this run.
Please let me know how to check is the postprocessing running or not
Target client | 700 |
Copy type | Processing after client import |
Profile | SAP_USER |
Status | Processing ... |
User | DDIC |
Last run on | 23.07.2014 / 22:44:28 |
Last entry on | 22:44:33 |
Current action:
Postprocessing
- Last exit program | AFTER_IMP_ADDRESS3 |
Statistics for this run
- No. of tables | 0 of | 0 |
- Copied lines | 0 |
And when I check the logs
Log file: | /usr/sap/trans/integral/XI4/log/CC000103.XI4 |
Client import from 23.07.2014 22:44:32
System ID............................ XI4
R/3 Release.......................... 46C
Host................................. sapxi4ms
User................................. DDIC
Client export system data:
System ID............................
R/3 Release..........................
Host.................................
User.................................
Parameter | |
Source client........................
Target client........................ 700
Copy profile:.......................SAP_USER
Table selection | |
Customizing data .....................
with application data................
Initialize and recreate......... |
This is perfectly normal . Sometimes it can take a day or more to complete the SCC7 . Do not restart you system even though there is no activity . Let me job finish .
One piece of advice . Its always faster to do a Remote Client Copy instead of using Export/Import Method . This is not a recommendation just based on the experience.

Hi RB,
Ok right now the background job is running with report "SAPLSZAI" where action is frequently "Delete on ADR2 etc etc"
Please correct me if my understanding is correct.
So once the background job is finished.Scc3 logs will update the statics of run of the copied tables right.
Because even now currently there is no update in SCC3 logs

Hi Avinash,
From the logs you shared it appears the client copy has been restarted. With this it is first deleting the data from tables . Once deletion is completed, it will start copying of the content again.
So it is not starting from the step it failed. Please monitor the progress.

You are in the post processing of the client transport which is done using Tx SCC7.
This is essential after a client import. If the job is still under execution then you should wait until the status change. I believe there should a log file at the OS level /usr/sap/trans/tmp or /usr/sap/trans/log and if not you will need to wait for the job to finish without interrupting.

Hi All,
As requested I have restarted and below the status of the background job.

But when I checked in SCC3 its still

Hi Avinash,
Please stop the tp process running on the server. If possible restart SAP application.
Post restart try to resume the post processing
Process seems to be hanged in your case.

There should be a background job running. What is the status of the job ?
If the job is still in active status then do a check status for the job.
