What are the Steps to Edit a Form Record Stored in Case Management? (HCM Processing DesignTime)

Workflow completed.  Design Time stores records to Case Management.

Can someone please tell me steps to access the record and change a field value?

I also want to attach another attachment to the process to be stored with the original attachments.

So far I am poking around in SCASE transaction.

I am able to search for processes and steps but when I click a line I have no auth to change the record.

BASIS helped me and checked - doesn't look like I'm missing auth, but maybe usung SCASE wrong?

Still working...

Assistance Appreciated.

Update:

So I read this blog and it helped:

http://scn.sap.com/community/erp/hcm/blog/2009/09/28/hcm-processes-forms-making-the-case-for-case-ma...

However I can't edit the record when I get down to it.  The Change (pencil button) is grayed out.

Basis is checking my permissions again.

I SHOULD be able to click the change button right?

Perhaps not the perfect solution, but I have found one!  And it works for me.

I'm breaking some SAP rules here.  Need to see what the ramifications are...

I can enter SWWIHEAD and change a workitem record to 'ready' from 'completed'.  (The standard funtion will not allow this, hence forcing it with the debugger.)  Forward the workitem to the user who needs to be able to make attachment/data change in the form.

User completes workitem and then all stati go back to completed.

Case management updates, and report we built (reading data from case mgmt) shows correct data and attachments.

Ideally I need to configure a change workflow to grab that old form based on a selection parameter entered by user.  Then they can change themselves without developer intervention.

Scase or organiser are meant to store the personnel file and not allowed to be editable atleast on the data, maybe you can :). Check here the roles required here below http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/Frequently+asked+questions+for+Case+Customizing You can do so in the PA30 for the infotype if you have to change a value.

My requirement is to be able to change the record in the backend.

If I can not do that with SCASE I need another way.

I can't do it via PA30 - we are not storing everything as info type.

I am wondering if I need another workflow - to call based on the request number and allow changes to the form information and attachments.

I thought about this earlier and wondered if there was a place in My Processes within ESS to do that, but all I see is withdraw functionality.

Still working on this...

Thanks all.

have you checked personnel profile? with CONFIGPROFILE = EDIT? http://help.sap.com/erp_hcm_ias_2012_01/helpdata/en/92/b073fb42b347af9cb19299881b379d/content.htm http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/48/164bbbb68a4b37b62ad9777b9b449f/content.htm?framese... No you cant make changes unless you have a WF step in your processes and forms which allows you to  make changes during the cycle of approval Once completed, you can only reinitiate and it ll trigger WF etc. ie HR admin step, where they check all the information is there in the form and then only allows it to be updated to the Infotype and complete the process. did you check scase with the required roles as indicated above? run su53 for missing any authorization?

Personnel profile & Info type has nothing to do with what we are storing.

Case mgmt is storing our records and I need to be able to change them post workflow completion.

Yes I ran SU53 and checked auth before making my post. thank you.

Since it the point has been made that SCASE can't change the data stored in a completed form - now I need to investigate another way to change that data.

-Thinking I need a small dynpro or something to collect the requests where user can click one and trigger a (perhaps?) change event - that I can  use to trigger a workflow.

Trick is - making workflow pull in the same orig request number (out of case m gmt I suppose) and then allow me to change data and attachments.

Personnel file reads from case management, have you read the above link?
