SAML 2.0 - ABAP + Portal 7.3

Hi ,

We have issue to SSO between Portal (SP) and ABAP after implementing SAML.

SAML is working fine non ABAP pages/BSP but when user click on any BSP pages

it is asking for logon credentials , however Portal and ABAP configured for SAP SSO Logon Tickets.

ABAP & Portal SSO works fine if we deactivate SAML with IDP

Do we need to configure ABAP system as well to accept the tickets from IDP?

Regards,

Santosh

Hello Santosh,

Please, find the implementation guide for your scenario in this wiki page:

http://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/Security/Single+Sign-On+with+SAML+2.0+and+ABAP+Systems+Supporti...

You have to make sure that the step 4 is performed properly:

"4. Change setting “Legacy Systems Support (Issue Logon Ticket)” to “On”
Having legacy system support setting set to “On” means that service provider will issue SAP Logon ticket which could be consumed later by the ABAP system."

I hope this will help you.

Hi Donka,

Thanks for quick response. We are following same instructions , it is slightly matching with our requirement.

As suggested step 4 is performed properly and updated certificate is imported into ABAP System added into ACL but still there is a issue.

Hello Santosh,

If this is set and you still have a problem best would be to open a CSS ticket.
