Gopal,

The checklist for Go live is normally tailored to the industry or scope of the business, so you should consult you implementation manager. Find below the standard Go Live checklist in Bydesign or go to Business configuration--> all activities--> perform cutover and Go.

Perform Cutover

Overview

The purpose of this activity is to execute the cutover activities and initiate the productive use of the SAP solution. All cutover activities can be categorized into three groups:

  • System readiness
  • Data readiness
  • Business and people readiness

Prerequisites

  • All test guides have been successfully executed.
  • All test incidents have been resolved or acceptable solutions have been identified.
  • All fine-tuning, organizational management, and basic data activities have been completed in the test system.
  • All data migration loads have been completed in the test system and data has been validated.
  • All legacy data extracts have been performed and the data files are ready to be loaded into the production system.

Steps

  1. Perform the final operational transactions in the legacy system, for example final payment and final invoice entry.
  2. Execute the final legacy system reports, which are used for the data validation and reconciliation.
  3. Finalize the transactional data load files.
  4. Load and validate the master data. For more information, see Perform Migration in Production System.

    Caution

If you are migrating your data as part of a Change Project, you need to complete the activity Activate Solution Capabilities before continuing with the next step in this process.

  5. Load the transactional data into the test system and validate against the reports extracted from the legacy systems. Details on this step can also be found in the Perform Migration in Production System activity document.

  6. Activate the internal support processes for the SAP solution. For more information, see Setup Internal IT Support Teams.
  7. Ensure all user IDs have been created and assigned to the appropriate work centers.
  8. Release the production system to the users.
  9. Release the internal and external Go Live announcements.

Result

The status of the production system is set to live.

Thanks Emeka, I understand the checklist needs to be customised for the project. However, there are some common steps in the process and I was hoping there would be a generic SAP document outlining those steps.
