BusinessObjects BackUp without information

Hello world!

I need help with backuping businessobjects to biar files.

As i know after creation full backup to biar file reports will be saved with data.

Is any way to clear data from created biar file or any options on Import Wizard to backup reports without data.

Thanks for reply but it's no that i'm looking for.

I have a problem and i'm looking for solution.

It look like that i'm looking for way to wash dirt from shoes but you advise to bypass the dirty puddle.

Import wizard doesn't have any option to purge or hide data so the only solution to your problem will be at report level.

Which would be purging data and saving it then using import wizard to export to biar. ( Too much of manual work)

I chose the way to create the java proc to purge all webi reports data.

Hi Artem,

1)

I would suggest you to take the backup of the Reporting DB and file store separately rather than using biar file for backup's.

2)

if you have published the report with data to enterprise then the report template( .rpt, .wid, .rep) will contain data else no.

3)

As Henry said you will need to purge the data and save it so that the report doesn't contain data in it.

Hi,

this question would be better asked on BIPlatform rather than Deski

but my take is that the reports need to be purged before publishing to ensure this.

i don't know of any IW trick to do this otherwise.
