Monitoring rules in BI4.X

Hi,

Recently we have installed BI4.1 SP4 and planning to implement monitoring alerts, when I went to one of the watchlist rules the threshold for caution rule setup by default with in range of (1,2,4,6,7) and danger rule within (0,5). Can you please help me how to calculate the threshold level for caution and danger rules.

Here I have attached the screenshots what I am talking about for your reference.

Thanks,

Mani

Hi Mani,

The watchlist rule threshold for caution rule setup by default with in range of (1,2,4,6,7) and danger rule within (0,5) is for the Running state of a Server.

These are the possible values associated with the running State:

0 = STOPPED

1 = STARTING

2 = INITIALIZING

3 = RUNNING

4 = STOPPING

5 = FAILED

6 = RUNNING_WITH_ERRORS

7 = RUNNING_WITH_WARNINGS

By default the alerts are sent only to Administrator in his BI Inbox.

Once you configure Email alerts for the Monitoring application you will start recieveing email notifications as per the threshold values set.
