Hi Experts,

I want to upload geo spatial shapes ESRI files to HANA studio. How to upload shape files? These files has extension .shp / .shx / .dbf. Please suggest.

I have heard that the shape files can't be uploaded directly without OS access. Is it true?

False.

You simply go to the "File -> Import" options, and there you have.

Hi Jose,

Thank you for your response. I have done so and stored the files in a package. Now how do i use the following query to create a table and import the data into the table. From HANA Guide, I see the following syntax:

IMPORT "SCHEMA"."TABLENAME" AS SHAPEFILE FROM '<abs-path>/<prefix>' [WITH[<option_list>] [THREADSN]];

But I dont know what will be the absolute path and what is the option list here.

Well, when I was saying "File-> Import" options, I meant in the SAP HANA Studio.

You don't have to do anything else.

In the same guide you can find what "absolute path" means, and the options that you can use.

Hi Jose,

Thanks for your response. I have imported the file and kept it in a package. we only know the relative path of the package and not the absolute path.

I also checked the Guide and there is no mention of any options.

Please provide more clear picture of this.

Regards

Rocky
