Hi,
We have installed SMP 3.0 server on Amazon Web Services cloud. The installation is successful and we are able to access the Management cockpit using IP address within the cloud server.
The AWS configuration has public and private IP. The SMP server using the private IP hence we are not able to access over internet as we need to use the public IP of AWS cloud instance.
We want to understand how can change the SMP server configuration to point the public IP instead of Private IP. Or any other solution to access through the public IP over internet.
Appreciate your support.
Regards
Zak
Hi Midhun,
Thanks for the detail response. I understand the relay server will be the best option for Prod environment. Our Dev environment is also on cloud where we have installed SMP development version.
So do we need to do go with relay server for Dev server as well.
Regards
Zak

The option you have to access SMP server from public network are : use public IP or use relay server (recommended).
Public IP: You will get a public IP when you NAT SMP server. You need to open ports to public , to access the system or run the apps.
Relay server: It is the recommended method to access SMP server from public network that removes the need of opening SMP ports to public network. Relay server is supported from version SMP 3 sp03.
