BI4 APS Running State Information

Hi,

In CMC>Monitoring>Watch my APS running state is 3 and looks yellow. I check the watch detail. The caution rule is for state 1,2,4,6,7. The danger rule is for state 0,5. But there is no rule for state=3.

Q1: Is there any information about this states? What means state 1,2,3.... etc?

Q2: Why is the watch yellow even the state is not included on this rule?

Hi Bulent,

Following are the running states for the servers:

0 = STOPPED
1 = STARTING
2 = INITIALIZING
3 = RUNNING
4 = STOPPING
5 = FAILED
6 = RUNNING_WITH_ERRORS
7 = RUNNING_WITH_WARNINGS

the running state 3 indicates that the server is running.

Is it possible to delete a watch that is created when as server is created?

Hi Torfi,

If you select a default watch, the delete option is greyed out.

However, you can disable the default watches if you wish so.

Where do you see the state as yellw?

From the screen shot, I can see that the caution rule currently evaluates to: green.

Not sure why this would show different states at different places.

Have you tried creating a new APS and checked?

Is this only with APS or also seen for some other services?

Yes i created a new APS, but nothing changed. And yes this problem is only for the APS server. All the remaining servers are ok.
