Java 7.3 doesnt start after Reinstall DAA

After uninstall and reinstall DAA for our Java-Server one doesnt start anymore.

Last Errorlog:

Error opening zip file or JAR manifest missing : /usr/sap/DA1/SMDA96/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/ISAGENT.8.2.3.5-2011-09-13/wily/Agent.jar

Error occurred during initialization of VM

agent library failed to init: instrument

In MMC i can see "Processes starting" - thats all.

In Solman_Setup we see at point 7 that also Introscope Host Adapter is yellow and "Installation of Bytecode" is red.

In the admin-area of Introscope we cannot get any connection to IS-Agent.

I found a notice that i should remove wily-entries in instance.properties or in configtool.

I tried it in instance.properties but doesnt work. In the configtool i cannot finde the way to remove wily for a new sync..

Thanks in advance.

where can i find them there in the configtool?

Click on server node in config tool.

You will see a white pace containing patameters.

You can remove the Agent/WILY parameter from there.

Also, share std_server0.out

do you mean:

Instance --> VM Parameters --> System ?

There are the parameters:

-Dcom.wily.introscope.agentProfile=<drive>:/usr/sap/ccms/wily/IntroscopeAgent.profile

-Dcom.wily.introscope.agent.agentName=<AgentName>

-Xbootclasspath/p:<drive>:/usr/sap/ccms/wily/connectors/connector.jar:<drive>:/usr/sap/ccms/ wily/Agent.jar

Remove them from server nodes in configtool

Configurations -> cluster-data -> server

General -- Java Paremeters.

yes, i can see them. when i try to delete it there i get this error:

Sorry for the typo.

It was cluster data - instance - server0.

Stop everything.

Stop DA1

Open configtool.

Delete parameters.

Restart SAP.

When i try to delete it in "VM Parameters" i get the error message i sent to you a few minutes ago.

This is the way i took:

Is that wrong? Im not able to remove it. Only databse is up and running. DAA stopped.

Thank you in advance

If you can't remove it then disable it from the checkbox at the right side.

I get the same error when trying to disable it.

I took the directory out of a backup and the system starts now.. !!

But why did the deinstallation of DAA influenced the wily-directorys?

Ive installed the DAA on three Java-Systems.

2 of them have got this error and the difference is:

Java-SAP that works:

/usr/sap/DA8/SMDA89/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/ISAGENT.9.1.0.0-2011-12-15

Java-SAPs that dont work:

/usr/sap/DA8/SMDA89/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily

EMPTY

Now i recover the old directory ISAGENT.8.2.3.5-2011-09-13 (stands also in the configtool) and the system starts. But in solman_setup i cannot connect to IntroscopeHostadapter, etc.. Strange

Goto agent admin, this you can go from MSC from connect diagnostic agent tab.

Then goto application management and deploy agent.

Hi, having the exact same problem.

Please provide clear steps in configtool to adjust the wily params? (Which parameter did you change?)

Hello,

I have the similar problem with my java 7.3 and DAA, agent has been re-installed.

Similar, I cannot remove wily from configtool.

I resolve my problem throw SMD/AgentAdmin -> Applications Managment and deploy wily(looking on version) on  agent.

After it

SMD/AgentAdmin, -> Advanced Settings -> Diagnostics Agent Support Tool -> Agent Runtime --> Bytecode Agent and click on Get, It's create on host level (/usr/sap/DAA/SMDA98/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily) BytecodeAgent folder and subfolder with agent.jar which used for Java machine start.

I had had similar problem.

In order to edit the parameters for configtool I used tool "consoleconfig".

You can find it under the same directory of configtool; e.g.

        /usr/sap/<SID>/<instance>/j2ee/cluster/configtool

run:

    UNIX: consoleconfig.sh   WINDOWS: consoleconfig.bat

Whit this tool I set parameter

/usr/sap/DA1/SMDA96/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/ISAGENT.8.2.3.5-2011-09-13/wily/Agent.jar

to default (the parameter is removed).

Some useful link for consoleconfig usage:

Hi Dennis,

Remove all the wily parameter in configtool or look for the file Agent.jar in the below directory.

/usr/sap/DA1/SMDA96/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/ISAGENT.8.2.3.5-2011-09-13/wily/Agent.jar

Hi Dennis,

Try to start the DAA. and then check the Ajent.jar file in the below location

/usr/sap/DA1/SMDA96/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/BytecodeAgent/ISAGENT.8.2.3.5-2011-09-13/wily/Agent.jar

Hi

The directory

/usr/sap/DA1/SMDA96/SMDAgent/applications.config/com.sap.smd.agent.application.wily/

is empty!

It seems to me as if it still searching the old installation?
