make a field mandatory in fbcj

Hiii experts,

I need to make TEXT field mandatory in fbcj in all...i got it can be done through SHD0... but i want to know any other methods through this field can be made mandatory.. please guide

Hi Abhay,

Would suggest to create separate Field status group for Cash Journal Gl's and make text field as mandatory so that this setting will not impact other GL accounts attached with same Field status group.

You can make use of Field Status variant to make the text field mandatory for the Field status group assigned to your cash gl.

Also you can write validation for this purpose.

Maintain tcode and Business transaction type for which you want to make constraints and in check make text field not to be initial.

In the message write messages like text field required.
