Search by DocNum/DocEntry in default form for UDO

Hello,

I created a UDO of type document, based on an header and one child table.

I registered it using the wizard. I checked this options:

  • CanCancel
  • CanFind
  • CanDefForm

I checked some columns as "find columns" and "form columns", DocEntry and DocNum among the others:

Now I use such default form created automatically for my UDO and try to find the object with a certain DocEntry (or DocNum). The problem is that when I press the search button these 2 fields become disabled and I cannot use them for search:

What can I do? Thanks in advance

Hi Simone,

Did you ever find a solution to this problem? I am encountering the same issue myself now.

Hello,

finally I decided to create my own UI form, instead of using the default form.

It is a bit longer to develop, but allows much more control on form items, data to be loaded etc.

I hope it can help you.

Kind regards

If you need more control on the form, default form may never be good enough. Please close your thread by marking helpful answer.

Hi,

What is the meaning of the 2nd column "Elab.."? If it is enabled or something like, you need to check them.

Thanks,

Gordon

Hello Gordon,

full column name is "Elaborabile", which means "it can be elaborated". I think it makes a field editable. I'd like to set such flag for DocEntry/DocNum, but as you can see I cannot, at least apparently...

Thanks
