Hi SAP experts,
is it possible to find out, who enabled trace via transaction SM50?
From my understanding so far, it only can be found out via SM19/SM20.
Thanks for your hints.
Best regards
Carlos
Hi Carlos,
If you have audit logs enables, then it's a bulls eye. You know who did it.
However, ST03 and STAD are what can help you deduce some information.
Last but not the least, if you can check the WP logs, for change in trace level and can map the information from above two tcodes, you have your culprit.

Hello Carlos,
the trace level can be increased in different ways - in transaction SM50, on OS level by sending a signal, or it can be increased remotely if the parameters
rdisp/accept_remote_trace_level
gw/accept_remote_trace_level
are set. So the first task would be to find out, how it was increased, if you have to look for a causer in a local or in a remote system. Or it can be also an error in SAP kernel
If you are sure, that the trace was activated in SM50, you can check statistics in ST03, which users have called SM50.

Hi Carlos,
who enabled trace via transaction SM50?
First you need to check for which users are permitted to execute transaction SM50,means trace first via authorization and after that it would be easy to find out which user activated trace at SM50 via SM20 transaction.
