how do we default certain pre-defined values for few fields? e.g. controlling area or company code for MDG finance?
Thank you in advance.

Hello Sahil
In MDG-F, you can use copy template option to copy the data from the CR.
Create a CR with default values. Kept it in executable state. Next time when user start creating Profit center or cost center, they have to create a blank CR. Then use the CR which is already in the system with default values. In collective processing, while creating new CC / PC you get this option. Save your CR as template and use it as and when you need.

Hello Sahil, If you want to import cost center/Profit center only there is no sequence needed. But If any profit center is to be assigned in a cost center creation, then PC has to be created first. For collective processing of hierarchy, all the entities(like CC,CC group and CC hierarchy) should be created first. Regards, Reema
Hello Sahil
Account and CC/PC are 2 different entity types. For PC and CC there is dependency. First you have to load Cost centers and then load PC.
For CC - load CC master data first. Then load hierarchy file then group file and finally assignment file.
Follow same process for PC.
GL you can load independently but you have first load group GL then operational GL and then GL at company code level,

Hi Sahil
You can define defult value in customizing uder IMG node Define Validation and Derviation node.
Here you can define define derviation function DERIVE_(Entitty Type> for which you need to define default value.
